SALT 2: Dairy Goats in Honduras

Sloping Agriculture Land Technology (SALT) has four components including the addition of animal agriculture.  In Honduras we use dairy goats with families in the SALT project.  Our Chorti Baptist Development Project will give 2 dairy goats to a family that has a good SALT 1 project and who have built a good goat house and developed a producing forage area.  We help them out with some roof tin and nails, no charge.  The dairy goats they get are bred and ready to kid in a couple of weeks meaning milk is on the way.  They pay back a female weaned kid when ready.  The goats in this video had kids about 8 days after the video and the farmer was very happy..  Works great!
