This week at Ukulima Farm we have hosted two great groups for agriculture training. The first is a week long training for a group from AGRA (Agriculture for a Green Revolution in Africa). This is a group of seed producers from 7 countries, Niger, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Malawi, Mozambique, Ghana, and Kenya. These guys are looking for ways to improve seed production while practicing conservation agriculture. We have been the teachers and had a great time.
The second group was from Limpopo University and included 55 agriculture students in their senior year. We offer interships on the farm working for various researchers and so they were anxious to make a connection with us and with the farm.
Great week with one more day left to visit the Monsanto research farm in JoBurg.
